Our Approaches and Techniques

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Our clinicians use evidence-based and holistic approaches based on each client’s age, needs, preferences, and treatment goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps clients recognize and change unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may contribute to distress.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Teaches skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, communication, and healthier relationships.

EMDR: A trauma-focused approach that helps clients process distressing memories and reduce the emotional intensity connected to them.

Internal Family Systems (IFS): Helps clients better understand different emotional parts of themselves and develop greater self-awareness and compassion.

Attachment-Based Therapy: Focuses on strengthening trust, emotional security, connection, and healthy relationship patterns.

Person-Centered Therapy: Provides a compassionate, accepting, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences openly.

Somatic Therapy: Explores how stress and trauma may be held in the body and uses body awareness to support healing and emotional regulation.

Narrative Therapy: Helps clients separate themselves from their problems and create a more empowering understanding of their experiences.

Motivational Interviewing: Encourages clients to explore their goals, overcome uncertainty, and strengthen their motivation for positive change.

Emotional Freedom Technique—Tapping: Combines gentle tapping with focused reflection to help reduce emotional distress, anxiety, and stress responses.

Guided Imagery and Mindfulness: Uses relaxation, visualization, breathing, and present-moment awareness to promote calm and emotional balance.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy: Honors each client’s identity, culture, values, beliefs, family background, and lived experiences throughout the therapeutic process.
